Vintage Ads Used Sex to Sell Everything



Okay, the idea that if you have unattractive, dingy, stringy hair, you won’t get as many dates as you could if you had soft, full, highlighted hair, is probably legitimate. Still, feminists would be up in arms about this ad today.




“Would You Perchance” want an “Action Zone,” really? And what the heck is an “Extra Large Snack Sack?” Even the dog looks disgusted.




Here's hoping the sexy lady holding a cocktail and a double enendre headline will distract you from the fact that the couch is ugly.




“Stacked for Convenience.” One of my all-time favorite sexist ads. You gotta admit they grab … I mean, “it” grabs your attention!
