Funny Tecate Beer Ad Featuring “Mike”

Here is a funny ad for Tecate beer, featuring “Mike,” who hits on your girlfriend, your mother and even your grandmother.

If You Don’t Smile at This You Need Help

Even Simon laughed at this act. Great use of puppets.

Will People Please Grow a Pair!

Asheville, N.C., jewelry store Spicer Greene Jewelers’ imaginative billboard, with pictures of gemstones surrounding the headline “Sometimes it’s OK to throw rocks at girls,” received stupid but predictable backlash last week.

The billboard was officially rebuked by Chelsea Clinton, and protests have been planned by members of local organizations, including the Women’s Rights Committee, Stronger Together WNC North and Indivisible Asheville’s Equal Rights Amendment Committee. The claim is “talking about hitting girls is never funny.”

This is one example of why marketing has become so sterile and unentertaining.  It’s a joke … a play on words. If you don’t think it’s funny, don’t laugh and maybe don’t buy anything from Spice Greene. But don’t ruin it for the rest of us. Especially if you were never going to purchase anything from the store anyway because you live a thousand miles from it.

How Does a Building This Tall not just Sink Into the Ground?

Chip’s Thoughts

Other than not wearing steel toed shoes, I see absolutely nothing wrong with the way this lady is clearing her back yard.  Okay, maybe a skill saw isn’t the best choice, but come on … she’s wearing safety glasses and hearing protection.

Best School Project Ever!

This kid is brilliant and is sure to go far. Purpose, Hypothesis, Materials, Prodedure, Results, Conclusion … he’s got it all. But the wad of money is icing on the cake.

Chip Shot: A guy stopped at my door today and said he was collecting donations for a new city swimming pool. I gave him a glass of water.

Drive Smug? The Affair.

Here’s a new and rather strange but entertaining ad encouraging those in the UK to rent their BMWs from Sist. Because even if your mistress tells you she’s pregnant, “that’s nothing” compared to Sixt.

You’re More Likely to get Hit by Space Debri Than Picking a Perfect NCAA Bracket … Says California Almonds

“Improve Your Odds with California Almonds?” Does this entertaining ad sell Almonds? You tell me.

Here’s a better one. “Dude, we gotta get a dog!”

Hilarious Teleflora Ad with Faith Hill … “So You Sent That?”

Okay, this Valentine’s Day ad for Teleflora is a few year’s old … but still funny … and she’s still beautiful.

This German Home Improvement Super Store Ad is … Funny?

Here’s an ad for Hornbach Home Improvement Super Stores that tell DYIers to “Regret Nothing!” And if someone laughing makes you laugh … then you’ll laugh a lot at this.

Speaking of Disney ...

A new line of Disney Princess bikinis was unveiled this week.  I must not be up on Disney Princesses because there are a couple in the photo that I can't place. But it's nice to see that they didn’t use “stick-girl” models.

… Probably Not Disney-Authorized

Vintage Ad

I don’t think depicting a guy looking up a lady’s dress while he’s saying “That’s fine engineering,” would pass muster today.

A Real Product … But it Shouldn’t Be

If your date shows up wearing this … run.

For those who may still be suffering from St. Patrick’s Day, Here’s an ad for Blowfish, a morning-after hangover remedy. Accordint to the manufacturer, drop two tablets in water. Drink. And get on with your day.

Funny VW Family Ad … Don’t Come a Knock’in If the VW is a Rock’in

In this comical ad, “life’s as big as you make it” … as this family finds out before buying a VW Atlas.

What’s Sex Selling This Week? … Hearing Aids?

Vintage Ad

“I never realized that nice Mr. Smithers had such pretty green eyes.”  A vodka ad that probably would “offend” someone today.

“Strong Enough to Clean the Car, yet Gentle on the Nards”

A real product … but it shouldn’t be.
