Chip Shot: I hate being bipolar. It’s awesome.

Honda CR-V Series II Wild Horse Chase

I don’t know how this sells Honda CR-Vs, but the ending makes the ad worthwhile.

Don’t Pet Your Armadillo

In case you didn’t haven't heard it yet, petting armadillos could give you leprosy. Yes, seriously, you can get leprosy, and Florida health officials want to make sure you avoid it: experts in that state are warning residents to resist stroking the little armored creatures, due to a recent uptick in leprosy cases.

Photos That Made Me Wonder “What?”

Ventriloquists’ ConVENTion Photo

Me and Dale with Butch and Harold Crocker. Butch and Harold are perennial convention favorites. Harold appeared on Ted Mack’s Amateur Hour.

Photographer Phillip Jones hard at work trying to pose 500 ventriloquists.

Chip Shot: The amount of real world success in a Facebook user’s life is usually inversely proportional to the number of “inspirational life advice” images they post.

White Squad

This was just too funny not to share.

Chip Shot: If there was an award for the most pessimistic, I probably wouldn’t even be nominated.

Is Man … Kind?

Here’s a really funny parody of Airbnb’s existential-crisis ad with the waddling baby.  A grown man replaces the infant in this clip. If you aren’t familiar with the original ad, this ad will make no sense … but it’s still funny. Kudos to the writers.

Entertaining Attorney Ad

Danny Trejo raises the bar for personal injury lawyer ads with this memorable 30 second spot on behalf of California firm Bergener Mirejovsky.

The 30-second, black-and-white spot is fun but also pretty low-key.

Target’s “Trophy” Shirt Offends the Perpetually Offended

Target often carries irreverent articles of clothing in the young fashion department. But now, Target is in trouble with the perpetually offended because of a selection of shirts. One reads "Trophy", another simply "Bride", "Mrs." and then there's "This is my backstage pass". So far 12,500 people have signed the Change.org petition.

Obviously none of the petition signers will buy these shirts, but I don’t see why I shouldn’t be able to, if I think they’re funny.

Target had the following, appropriate response: “It is never our intention to offend anyone and we always appreciate receiving feedback from our guests. The shirt you’re describing is part of a collection of engagement and wedding shirts that are available in our women’s and plus size departments. The collection also included shirts that say 'Team Bride,' 'Mrs.' and 'Bride.' These shirts are intended as a fun wink and we have received an overwhelmingly positive response from our guests."

I can’t believe this company ever went out of business!

Get Your Asterisk Removed

This funny IWireless ad puts an end to “asterisk.”

Here’s another one.

During WWII loose women were as dangerous as the enemy … I guess.

Apparently you were supposed to celebrate Father’s Day by purchasing embarrassing swim suits for him.

Aaron Williams

Aaron Williams and Dale Brown

One of the highlights of this year’s Ventriloquist ConVENTion was the opportunity to meet Aaron Williams and watch him perform. I think Aaron is in his 80’s now, and he has not lost any of his proficiency as a skilled ventriloquist and hilarious performer. His act absolutely killed on the Saturday Night All-Star Show.

Click here to see a clip of Aaron on the Mike Douglas show. Go to the 9:30 mark to see some of his great distance voice technique.
