A Puppet's Ramblings - from Chip Martin, Mannequin American Marketer

News Bits: According to a recent study, older women are enjoying sex more than ever. Hopefully this is not big news to older men.

More News Bits: Pedestrians wearing headphones are three times more likely to be involved in car accidents. But they're four times more likely to have a sweet playlist for their ride in the ambulance

Milwaukee Public Library Ad Mocks Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter

I really like this ad (above) for the Milwaukee Public Library. Nice shot at social media while getting their points across.

Dog Strikes Back

Here's another Super Bowl ad that you'll see on Sunday. This one, for Volkswagen, is worth watching.

Japanese Ad Makes Me LOL

Sorry, but this Japanese ad made me lol. It may be the best department store ad ever.

Are We Really This Stupid?

This warning label for a dust mask points out that the mask "does not supply oxygen." Obviously the company was sued for not explaining that fact to some idiot.

Drinkwel: The Multivitamin for People Who Drink

From the manufacturer: "This product does not prevent intoxication, alcohol poisoning, alcohol abuse or utter stupidity." (That seems pretty honest.) "Please drink responsibly. Never drink and drive! Do not consume alcohol if you are not of the legal age to do so, while pregnant or nursing. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease." (Okay now we know what it "doesn't" do.) "Its ingredients replenish nutrients, support healthy liver function, help process alcohol induced toxins and more." ... and there it is ... apparently this multivitamin is no different from the myriad of other multivitamins on the market.

My advice is never drink and drive, don't Facebook, text or drunk dial while intoxicated and don't waste your money on products like this one. By the way, Drinkwel costs $50 Source

Strange Ad of the Day

I can't believe this is all the ad agency could come up with for White & Black coffle at the Coffee Inn. It's strange enough to get attention, but does it really "sell" the product? I say, "Nay. Nay."

Vintage Chauvinism

I would have liked to have been the hand model in this vintage ad for Chemstrand Nylon, the material that leotards are made from.
